Transylvania ...

Tony Gatlif is a film director who we mention quite a bit here on The Gypsy Trail. He’s made some fantastic movies exploring Romani life in Europe, and these films’ soundtracks are always packed with awesome music. As part of a traveling film festival Gatlif’s latest movie, ‘Transylvania’, will be shown just once at Greater Union in Wollongong on Sunday (18 May) at 6PM. If you enjoy the music we play and want a further glimpse into Romani culture, then make sure you are there! Similarly, if you can’t make it but want to see some of Gatlif’s work, head to your local video store and ask for ‘Swing’, ‘Vengo’, ‘Gadjo Dilo’, ‘Latcho Drom’, and/or ‘Exils’.
